Ideally one should walk 250 to 300 minutes a week on the treadmill for extensive health benefits, including weight loss. You can reach to your goal by walking 30 to 40 minutes each day. This will help you to burn burn 1 kilo in a week.
But if you have just started your weight loss journey then start with 20 minutes a day. And increase it as per your convenience and fitness level. You can also split your schedule of exercise into two parts. 10 minutes in the morning and the remaining 10 minutes in the evening.
